The Blood and the Bois is a psychological spirit-drama about the restless chi of a downed stick fighter who is unable to egress until his death is avenged by his son and grandson. The bois usually brings blood from the head of a challenger, but along the road to avenging death, both the living and the dead must come to terms with hurts, inflicted upon one generation by the previous, before they arrive at a place of healing, transcendence and rest. nThe Blood and the Bois is a dramatic sketch that brings Black Caribbean father-son relationships into sharp focus while challenging the viewer to reexamine intergenerational hurts and the need for healing in their own lives.
